We begin this season’s series of Jazz On Stage with and 8pm on Thursday, October 24th with The Daniel Kelly Quartet, joined by renowned guest vocalist Frederick Johnson. The second installment of the Jazz On Stage Series features MULTI-GRAMMY AWARD WINNING DRUMMER & BAND LEADER MARCUS “STIX” FINNIE with his Quintet. The Art of Listening celebrates the original love of what draws musicians into the music of jazz. From standards to original works, the group features a unique lineup of elite Nashville-based musicians led by renowned drummer Marcus "Stix" Finnie, whose recording and touring credits include Kirk Whalum, Donna Summer, Larry Carlton, Taj Mahal, Joss Stone, and Billy Preston.

From jazz standards to bold original works, let this elite ensemble from Nashville take you on a sonic journey that honors the soul of the music.

The third installment of the Jazz On Stage Series features THE SOFIA GOODMAN GROUP. Composer and bandleader Sofia Goodman pays tribute to brilliant women composers in jazz by performing two sets of compositions written by artists such as Melba Liston, Carla Bley, Emily Remler, Alice Coltrane, Terri Lyne Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, and more. The award-winning ensemble has been recognized in Downbeat, Jazziz, and All About Jazz with headline performances at renowned festivals and jazz venues around the country.

SINGING AND SWINGING

Featuring the Champian Fulton Trio with special guest Christian Tamburr

The fourth and final installment of our Jazz on Stage Series features international jazz sensation Champian Fulton. A Jazz pianist and vocalist for more than 20 years, Champian has released 18 albums as a leader and has performed in more than 25 countries, both in concert and on TV. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including Album of the Year in the NYC Jazz Record (2018, 2020, 2023) and Pianist and Vocalist of the Year (2019) by Hot House Magazine. Champian has appeared at such unique venues as the San Fermines Festival in Pamplona, Spain, the Tangier Jazz Festival, the Opera House in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the Tongyeong Opera House in South Korea, and Lincoln Center in NYC.

She is joined by special guest Christian Tamburr on vibraphone and his supporting trio.
