"The Princess Bride" tells the story of Westley, a farmhand who loves Buttercup, a woman who is betrothed to Prince Humperdinck. After being presumed dead by the Dread Pirate Roberts, Westley returns, transformed into a skilled swordsman, to rescue Buttercup from Humperdinck and his hired thugs. The narrative is framed within a story being read to a sick boy by his grandfather.
