Kentucky Shakespeare in the Park - The Tempest

"The Tempest," a play by William Shakespeare, tells the story of Prospero, the exiled Duke of Milan, who uses magic to shipwreck his usurping brother and other enemies on a remote island. The play explores themes of revenge, forgiveness, power, and colonialism, with Prospero's magic often seen as a metaphor for the theater itself. It's a late work, considered a romance, and is usually interpreted as Shakespeare's farewell to the stage.
