Mural Art Camp, happening October 6–10, 2025 in downtown Hopkinsville. This unique camp gives students in grades 5–12 the opportunity to design and paint a mural alongside a professional teaching artist during their Fall Break.
Led by art educator Paula Gieseke, this hands-on program will walk participants through the exciting process of mural-making, from initial design to the final brushstrokes. Campers will work together to create a vibrant, permanent mural on the wall of a downtown business — a lasting contribution to Hopkinsville’s growing public art scene.
Camp sessions will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The cost of the camp is $100 per student and is limited to 12 spots.
By the end of the week, participants will have learned large-scale painting techniques, teamwork, and how public art can celebrate community history and identity.
